Restorative Practice as Peace Practice

Getting+More+out+of+Restorative+Prcatice+in+Schools.jpg

This chapter in the edited volume Getting More out of Restorative Practice in Schools makes the case for understanding and implementing restorative approaches as a way for schools to build peace. Written as a collaboration between Terence Bevington from Conexus and Anna Gregory from Peacemakers, the chapter seeks to go beyond current conceptualisations of restorative approaches to open up a new space for considering restorative work as peace work. Building on the ideas presented in Positive Peace in Schools, we explain why and how the lens of peace can be useful in making restorative practices more extensive in their reach and ambitions.

You can view an online seminar providing an overview of the chapter here.
